Acne comes from pores that have been clogged by dirt and oil from all your activities throughout the day.

I read 22kool4u's article on Acne and I agreed in some ways, but in others I disagree. From what I hear, you are supposed to wash your face day and night, but with a soapless cleanser, because soap can build up and clog your pores more than they already are.

There are many ways to prevent you from getting acne. Here???s what I know:

- Keep your hands and hair away from your face the oils will just create pimples.

- Use water-based products, not soap, to clean your face.

- Do NOT over scrub or wash your face; it can irritate the skin, causing spots that look like pimples.

If in the event you do get acne, don't freak out!! There are many ways to control acne. Talk to your doctor if you think you have a really really bad case of it, or go to a drug store and get prescription or non-prescription medication.

Medication that includes benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, resorcinol and sulfur is great for the skin and can be found in creams, lotions, gels, soaps and liquid washes. There are many more types that you can use, but you should talk to your doctor before using any of them. Your doctor will know what is right for you.

I hope this helps you with your troubles. Remember, never ever pop or squeeze a pimple! It can lead to scarring, and allow the bacteria to spread to the rest of your face.
