Hey, it's MoTx here -- I just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Now let's talk food! What is the number one thing you eat on Thanksgiving? TURKEY is the main thing I have!

The reason I wrote this article all started when I was shopping in the grocery store for the biggest turkey for our 30-person Thanksgiving dinner this year. I saw over 50 turkeys in the ice bin... and then it hit me! Look at all the turkeys that are killed each year. And this was only in one grocery store! I know back in Texas in my city there were at least 6 grocery stores filled with turkeys. Think of all the turkeys all over the U.S.A. and how many that must be!

What it came down to was, I told my Mom I didn't want turkey this year. As a matter of fact, I don't want any meat anymore! After telling my Mom how I felt, she decided we won't have turkey this year!

I encourage you all to not eat turkey this year! I know I sound crazy to some of you, but think of all the animals that die each year, month, week and even every day! Become a vegetarian for a week; it doesn't have to be Thanksgiving, just try it! First research on becoming a vegetarian. Check out a book from your local library or surf the web -- remember, being a vegetarian, especially as a kid, can be dangerous. You might lose vital nutrients that your body needs to function if you don't do it right.

Remember all those turkeys being killed and just try being vegetarian for a week!

This is MoTx signing off. Remember, VEGGIES ROX!
