Kicking off what we hope will become a series of chats designed to let
citizens talk with people who have cool jobs, a real Hollywood
screenwriter is coming to the Greek Theater in Whyville to answer your
questions.
Jon Bernstein wrote the screenplays for Beautiful, starring
Minnie Driver, and Ringmaster, starring Jaime Pressly. Those movies are rated PG-13 and R, so ask your parents for permission before you rent them or anything.
Jon is now
working on the script for a Disney animated feature film based on the
book "A Day with Wilbur Robinson." He is also writing an animated film
based on the Dr. Seuss story "Horton Hatches the Egg" for Dreamworks.
If you've read these books, you might have lots of questions as to how
Jon plans to make their stories work on the big screen.
This exciting program will take place in the Greek Theater on Saturday,
December 20 at 3:00 p.m. Whyville Time. If you've ever wondered how to get
started as a writer or what it's like working in Hollywood, then mark
