Hello, my name is LITLEred and this is a classic story about a young girl making a difference in the world.

A young girl stood along a sandy beach early one morning. She began tossing starfish into the sea that had been on the beach from the tide going down. A man walked up to her and asked her what she was doing.

"I am throwing the starfish back into the sea," she replied gently.

He looked along the shore and said, "There are thousands of starfish, you couldn't possibly make a difference."

She looked at him and smiled. She picked up another starfish and tossed it back in the sea.

"I made a difference to that one," she said with pride.

What I am trying to say is, even if we make the smallest contribution, we are still making a difference to someone, somewhere. The next time you pass someone in need, help them. Write a card to someone lonely, give a homeless person a dollar or two, volunteer for your community. There are so many ways that you can make someone happy. Although it may not seem like much to you, for somebody else it could be the world.

Please spread the happiness.
