Glass crunches beneath my feet
as I walk across the street.
Whispers float through the air
As people start to stare.
An accident has just occurred,
Or at least, that's what I've heard.
A boy is lying on the tar.
He was hit, by a car.
As his mother starts to cry.
A police man says, "Your boy will die."
So, please do not drink and drive,
And one more child may stay alive
