Hello, my fellow Whyvillians! It's me, Beauty266, here to discuss the new Senate race that is about to begin. I'm not going to explain what a candidate is or what a platform is. I am going to say my piece about the pasts of the candidates that we will be voting for.

First, let me ask you this: In real life, do you feel that the President should have everything he/she has ever done dug up on him/her during the elections?

I think that that is an outright invasion of their privacy. What does it matter if she got in a serious car wreck once? What does it matter if he liked another woman besides his wife? I'm not saying that's right, don't get me wrong! I'm not saying that those are good things to do, but what does that have to do with how the person would run this country?

On the other hand, what if the person said something racial or murdered someone or did something that really would affect the way they ran the country? I feel that if he/she has said anything racial or hurt someone then that would be important, because would you really want a president who is against a race or races or a president that might hurt you? I didn't think so.

But back to Whyville and its Senate race. What do you think should be dug up on the candidates here? I think the real world and Whyville differ a bit. Then again, the real world and Whyville are always different. You can do some bad things on Whyville that you can't do in the real world, and it's the same vice versa.

I think that if a Whyvillian has ever asked for someone's personal information on Whyville, then that should be shown to the public. I think that if they have gotten taped for cybering or saying a bad word, then that should be shone to the public. Would you really want a Senator who isn't law abiding? I wouldn't. And I'm not saying I'm a saint on here, either. I've gotten taped. Not proud about it, but I did. I doubt many people on here have never gotten taped before.

Maybe the candidates could just go in front of the public and plead their case about that one unlawful act. Or maybe they could just say that they did do that act but they are forever sorry and that they have never have done anything unlawful since then. Then, hopefully, we would only have truthful and pretty good law abiding candidates and isn't that what we want? Yes, I think it is.

What do you think about the differences between voting in the real world and voting on Whyville? What do you think the differences are between what is dug up on the candidates in the real world and in Whyville?

All I have left to say is, vote for the candidate you think is best for you!

Signing out to watch the news for information on the real-world presidential election,
