The Crossword Puzzle has been repaired, and should work this week. The bonus is now officially 30 clams for folks who get it complete before the next issue is published. This time around you'll have an extra week, since this paper is a double issue. Enjoy!

I urge you all to read every article in this week's paper. I think it may be one of the best papers we've ever had. I wish I could put every story on the front page!!!

That Adobe Contest is going on strong! Keep submitting -- we've got well over 200 photos sent in already! The first winners will be announced April 17.  (Adobe rocks, Akbar says -- he got to go to a very cool conference they held last week, and learned mucho about their upcoming software. Thanks, Adobe!)

One more week left in the Senate Race before the top three candidates will be picked! Are you ready???

To find out more on the Senate Race's schedule, read this.

Have you had one username in Whyville for three years or more? If so, you probably got (or will get, because they're still in development) an extra-special medal! Put it on and take a look at it in chat -- you should see a small shimmering from the high-quality metals that City Hall put into your medal. Yes, it's the first animated face part ever produced in Whyville, and it's just for citizens who have been lucky enough and dedicated enough to stick with us ever since our first year of existence. Thank you so much!

For those of you who want your very own animated face part, post in the BBS what sort of parts you think Akbar should make! They're not easy to make, City Hall tells me, so be prepared that only a few will ever be created.

Coach Jay Stallings came to Whyville to talk about chess and learning sports -- check out Softbll12's report, and then read the transcript from the 2nd-ever Whyville Talk Show. Did you see the show? What did you think of it? And who do you think Whyville should invite next?

You may or may not notice that the BBS is being cleaned up a bit, so things may speed up imperceptably -- I mean, it'll have a very tiny but useful affect on your Whyville visit. Can you figure out what's changed about the BBS?

City Workers are getting together Sunday, April 4, for a real-life birthday party for Whyville. Somebody bake a cake in honor of this event... or better yet, ask why...! :-)

Six new Y-mail helpers joined their illustrious ranks last week. Welcome, and thanks for your help!!!

The Y-mail helper tool has been temporarily frozen, as our many new helpers get accustomed to their work, and City Workers go through a little bit of a backlog. :)

There have also been a few repairs made to the GeoDig and the Balloon game. Can you find them?

Finally, the top-represented countries of Whyville -- those nations with the most Whyvillians!

Jamaica
Mexico
United Arab Emirates
South Africa
Egypt
France
Singapore
Malaysia
Ireland
Spain
Netherlands
Japan
Germany
Belgium
New Zealand
Great Britain
Australia
United States
And #1, leading America by only 4,000 folks... Canada!

Happy Easter and April Fool's Day,
Times Editor
