On Friday, I went to the Greek Theater for the Trivia Hour, followed by the Inauguration of Sonner. After I had been brought to the stage, I was stopped before the 400-clam level so that we could have the ceremony for Sonner. I was taken off-stage to watch.

Sonner was brought down and the pedestals rose! Sonner sat on one pedestal while City Hall sat on another. After Sonner said the many "I do's" he had to in order to be sworn in, everyone threw projectiles at him! They were everywhere!

We then had a few polls. They included:
Is Whyville The Greatest?
Should We Have A Drink Machine?
Should We Have A Times Building?

Most of the Whyvillians answered yes!

Sonner says he would like to do something like this because it will make it look like Senators do something in their term. I personally agree.

Later on we also saw Brain98, one of the people who ran against Sonner. He said he was happy for Sonner, but will be running again next time!

I also interviewed our new Senator:

Q: What are some things you are already thinking about to help us improve Whyville?
A: Well, I would really like to have bank accounts, maybe a bank, but mostly just bank accounts where you can earn interest off the money you put in. This will come later in my term because I really like the idea of a drink machine and the Times Building.

Q: If we were to get a drink machine, what would be some things you would put in it?
A: Actually someone had a great suggestion that we could hold that drink in our hands if we bought it. I think it would only be temporary since drinks do tend to get drunk. LoL. Anyways, to get to the point, I think it would include different types of soda, I'm not sure if we could use kinds like Pepsi and Coca Cola because they are copyrighted. But we could have bottled water for maybe 20 clams each, etc. I'm not sure, I think it would mostly be the City Workers' decision, but one of the City Workers informed me that a soda machine can actually be made, which is good to hear.

Q: You said that you wanted a Whyville Times office back. What would be the purpose of that?
A: Not really a Whyville Times Office, but more of a Times Building interior, where people can chat and hang out and read the Times. It would have virtual newspaper printers, etc. I'd also like to bring it back to a more popular area. Maybe we could have it in the island on the beach. OoOo! LoL. I think a chat room would encourage people to read the Times.

Q: Do you think that you will be able to cooperate with the other CWs and other Senators?
A: I already cooperate with all the City Workers and they are all nice people. I haven't really talked to OrEoBaBy that much, but I have Y-mailed her saying I look forward to working with her.

Q: What do you believe is most important in Whyville?
A: Everything is important. There really isn't a answer to that question. I think fixing the bugs Whyville has is pretty important.

Q: What does your username mean and why did you choose it?
A: My username actually means nothing. I read in a dictionary after I made the name that it was actually a French word which I forgot the meaning of. I just didn't want a name with numbers behind it. For example: zoppy612. I wanted a name with no numbers behind it, like Sonner. LoL!
