Hey, it's me, Hottie412 again, this time with a couple interviews with some of Whyville's talented fashion designers. I have found a few of Whyville's great part makers and asked them a few questions.

I spoke with Twigsy, Crumple, yargpixie, iluvtrash and 22kool4u!

Me: What gives you inspiration for your designs?
Twigsy:
Anything! Just being around people and seeing what they wear gives me so much inspiration. But I would say my favorite place is an amusement park because there is so much funny, weird, and different stuff in the shops and stuff.
Me:
What is your store(s) called?
Twigsy: Phyzz and Phyzz New.
Me:
What is your favorite part that you make?
Twigsy:
I don't really have a favorite. I guess whatever is the newest thing I made is my favorite, LoL.
Me:
Do you take requests?
Twigsy:
Yeah, sometimes, if they are good ideas.
Me:
Do you have any advice for aspiring designers?
Twigsy:
Just practice and use anything you can find as inspiration. Don't remake or steal people's ideas. Always make new stuff, don't go with the safe casual stuff.

Me: What gives you inspiration for your designs?
Crumple:
Usually it's the things I see in real life that inspire me. A lot of what I make I own in real life.
Me:
What is your store(s) called?
Crumple: My store is called "haute couture crumple"
Me:
What is your favorite part that you make?
Crumple:
My "China Doll Eyes ~Crumple~" are my favorite part that I've made, the big round ones.
Me:
Do you take requests?
Crumple:
No, I don't take requests, because I can't design anymore. Akbar's is overloaded with parts and so they won't let a lot of people without WhyPasses space to design. It's sad, but I'll live.
Me:
Do you have any advice for aspiring designers?
Crumple:
The only piece of advice I have for aspiring designers is to practice, practice, practice! Find pictures of things on the internet or in magazines and draw them on Microsoft Paint (or any other similar paint program). You'll get the hang of using detail there and your parts will then look much better.

Me: What gives you inspiration for your designs?
Yargpixie:
Plethora and myself come up with the most of the designs. Sometimes Crumple tells me to make things. I just make stuff I would like to have, or my friends would like.
Me:
What is your store(s) called?
Yargpixie:
My store is called, "Yargpixie's Flying Circus", although I may be making a new store soon that will just have the newest parts in it.
Me:
What is your favorite part that you make?
Yargpixie:
I have a couple favorite parts. One is "Bananaphone #yargpixie#".
Me:
Do you take requests?
Yargpixie:
Not at this time, sorry.
Me:
Do you have any advice for aspiring designers?
Yargpixie:
Yes. Make something original that you've never seen before in Whyville, and people will eat it up. Imitating other artists will only leave you in their shadow.

Me: What gives you inspiration for your designs?
iluvtrash:
I get my inspiration from many magazines like teen vogue and such, but I also get a lot of inspiration from mine and my friends own clothes.
Me:
What is your store(s) called?
iluvtrash:
Trashy Hut =o)
Me:
What is your favorite part that you make?
iluvtrash:
*trashy* colorful purse; it supposed to be like the LV purse, but without the LV's. I think it's cute!! :P
Me:
Do you take requests?
iluvtrash:
sure, if I got any I would, but be fore-warned it may not be accepted or may not look the way you want...
Me:
Do you have any advice for aspiring designers?
iluvtrash:
Start small with contacts, lips, or eyes, then move on to shirts. And draw the body first and then the shirt on top! It's a lot easier that way. Oh wait, most important, don't copy someone, I made that mistake when I started and I've paid for it. But use your imagination, you might be the next new thing!!!

Me: What gives you inspiration for your designs?
22kool4u:
Sometimes it's actual things I see in real life. Other times, it might be parts I see in the directory. I'll add major changes to them. No, I don't consider this copying. There's inspiration all around you.
Me:
What is your store(s) called?
22kool4u:
My store is called "Field of Innocence"; it may vary, but there will be notice.
Me:
What is your favorite part that you make?
22kool4u:
My favorite part? Wow, that's a hard one. It'd have to be the hair "An Improvement ^____^" because it was one of my first hairs and I started with scratch. It also looks pretty good on anyone.
Me:
Do you take requests?
22kool4u:
I do take requests. I feel that it is important for every Whyvillian to have an inspiration, or their own face part. Most people that cannot make as good as face parts as others will go to another and ask them to make that part for them. It lifts up their spirits. I know it would mine.
Me:
Do you have any advice for aspiring designers?
22kool4u:
Start small. Don't let the bigger designers throw you off. Just because Whyville is a game doesn't mean you can't use real life skills in here. One step at a time. Practice makes perfect. Prepare yourself -- always have a plan. Make art.

There you have it. Some of Whyville's most talented designers. Check out their stores. Maybe someday, you'll be as talented as them. Just remember -- practice, practice, practice. Practice makes perfect! Have fun, and post your comments in the BBS. Also, I would like to thank all of the designers for taking the time to answer my questions with such enthusiasm!

Over and Out,

Hottie412
