The Whyville Senate Debate is planned for:

Monday, June 28
4:00 p.m. Whyville Time (that's 1 p.m. Pacific Time)
in the Greek Theater Auditorium

JoelGC, DivaSis and Deriko all plan to be there -- bring your questions, bring your answers, and help decide the future of Whyville!

Voting will begin shortly after the debate, and a transcript of the Q&A will be posted in the Whyville Times.

I repeat, MONDAY is the OFFICIAL WHYVILLE DEBATE!

Candidates will answer questions from City Hall one at a time. No interruptions, please! Depending on the question, City Hall may allow each of the candidates to respond to the other candidates' comments, when they are finished. Citizens, you're welcome to submit questions you want us to ask by emailing times@whyville.net!

Each candidate will be able to ask their opponents one question each, and then City Hall will ask for final comments for each candidate about their own efforts. Afterwards, the candidates may have time to stay and chat with the citizens.

The final voting will begin after the debate. This is a NEW round of voting, so you'll need to vote again -- your votes back on the petitions won't count! You'll be able to vote from the announcements page that you get when you first login, so no worries about trying to get into a crowded City Hall. :-)

Remember, the platforms are in this week's paper, under "Senate Race" and on the front page -- they all have new versions of their platforms!

UPDATE
In the meantime, we got close to a dozen reports on the great new Newbie Center -- thanks everybody for your great journalistic efforts! We tried to include all the great photos you sent in; hopefully they'll be uploaded properly soon.

As Moocow92 lets us know in this week's paper, the rules have changed for the Adobe Photo Contest! And it's not just to encourage folks to submit their own original work instead of stuff found online -- it'll also inject new creativity into the photos you take! Imagine the possibilities....

Too tired to blink,
Times Editor
