This poem is dedicated to my father, who passed away in 1995.
A sadness dwells within my heart,
Loss I cannot bear,
Without a choice, we had to part.
This life is so unfair.
The love and laughter that we portioned,
Hugs and kisses with I-love-yous,
Surely set my joy in motion,
Forever gone, and all is blue.
All alone and cold it feels.
At times I am so sad.
Wake me up, this isn't real,
It's life without my dad.
To be happy and grow up strong,
My anguish lessens as life goes on.
