LiveStrong Wristbands

I glance to my left; I glance to my right. I walk around and look some more. Many people around have them. What, you may ask? LiveStrong wristbands.

They are very popular these days; well, at least where I live. For those of you who are really confused right now, don't be. I'll explain everything as time goes on.

LiveStrong wristbands are made out of bright yellow rubber. They are bought to help a cancer charity, called "the Lance Armstrong Foundation", otherwise known as LAF. They are sold at many sports stores, and various websites. Each band costs one dollar. But good luck finding a full stock of them... they have been on very high demand recently.

My sister and I have been wanting to get some for so long, but they are always sold out! Lol. We went to Finish Line, which is a sports store in our area. They told us that they quit selling them because there was such a great demand from the customers. The woman we talked to suggested some places we could go online to buy them, and I checked them out.

Well, I went to both of the sites, and the bands were sold out at both places. I'm sure there are other places you could go to if you want to buy the LiveStrong wristband, but the woman I talked to said those were the best places to go for it.

For those of you who don't know what the connection between Lance Armstrong and the LiveStrong wristband is, I will tell you. Lance Armstrong is a national champion cyclist who just won the Tour de France (which he has won six times -- WoW!!!). You have probably heard of the Tour de France before; it's a famous cycling race.

Anyway, back to my point. Lance is a very courageous person, as you can probably tell from all of his winnings in his cycling career. He was diagnosed with an advanced state of cancer in 1996 and survived. Amazing, eh?
