UPDATE! As of late Monday, September 12, the winner of the 5th-ever Whyville Senate Race is... softbll12! Congratulations, Senator-to-be Softbll12!

The new Senator's official inauguration will be held this week, possibly Wednesday evening. Keep checking your official Whyville Calendar in the new welcome page to get the latest updates.

The Senate vote will be staying up an extra day or two, so get your vote in now! You can find the vote at your welcome page when you first log in -- it's there now until the voting is over, so if you can't find it, it's all done! You can also find the transcript of the debate between Suga246, Soccer678 and softbll12 in this week's Times. UPDATE: As of late Monday (or maybe Sunday), the polls were closed and the new Senator chosen by nearly 50% of the folks who voted!

In Whyville West, folks who have been gone there as new citizens over the last, oh, year or more, may have noticed that the WhyBird that wanders across the screen with some advice for you had been transformed into a turkey! That's supposed to be a special Thanksgiving treat, but the Bird just changed back this week. Hope you all had a great Year of the Turkey!

Had any problems with the room decorator? You may just need to by a floor -- head over to the Brick Emporium and see if you need one!

There's been a programming fix over at the housing office -- they now distinguish between guests and plot owners. (Sorry, no more details on that...!)

If you haven't been to the newbie lounge in the WhyHouse lately, you might check it out -- there's been (or will be shortly) a little change to the design. Can you figure out what it is?

Designers may like to know that Akbar is working on an article about the guidelines he'd like you to follow when making new face parts. Not sure when that piece will be ready, so keep reading the Times each week!

And finally, the Citizen of the Month will be announced in the next week or two... so Y-mail Helpers and Senators, make sure you send City Management your pick for the most inspiring, good-hearted representative of the Whyville Way!

G'night,
Times Editor
