Are you ready to learn more about your Senate candidates? Coconut02, hiphop26 and hotboi764 will participate in the classic 3-way Senate Debate next Friday, October 22 at 7:00pm Whyville Time (that's the same as Eastern Standard Time). Come to the Greek Theater to see City Hall grill them, and stick around afterward -- the candidates may be able to take your questions from the stage!

All three candidates sent in new/updated platforms, too, so check them out in this week's issue of the Times.

Many of you probably noticed the chaos in the Trading Post recently -- "madnessssss", as former Senator candidate Soccer678 called it! People were floating all over each other, interfering with trades and just making the whole place look like scyllaCat's apartment! (Just kidding! I don't even know what his place looks like! ;-) The disorder also spread to the game rooms for checkers, tic-tac-toe and the fabulous mancala.

Anyway, as soon as City Workers heard about the problem, they got to work. As CW mark tells us, "All the game board, that are usually off-limits, could be walked across now. The problem started when I was with Whyville's collision-detection code to make it faster, but I added some loopholes, too." He added that a fix should be in place by the weekend.

Elsewhere, there's been a veritable frenzy of activity among the City Workers this past week or two. Halloween is coming with a big "twitchy" surprise, as well as the traditional Haunted House... and keep an eyeball out for a few special Why-Pass treats! You can also look forward to new levels for the Treasure Hunt, if they haven't been posted just yet.

Congratulations go out to the October 8 Trivia Hour winners Sonner, candyflow and lured. Lured was once again a trivia champ this week, taking home 75 clams.

And thanks to the citizens who caught the typos in last week's issue -- the worst one was my calling Coconut02 Coconut26, and it happened in the editorial where I issued the "catch my typos" challenge in the first place! LOL!

One mortal man,
Times Editor
