The Unthinkable

Late one Tuesday night, panic filled Whyville Square when 11 came out and annouced, "OMG! Whyville is closing!" So I went over to the BBS and found this alarming message:

    Subject: PLEASE READ
    Author: Admin
    Date: 11/7/2000 9:06PM

I have bad news, kids. Whyville will be shutting down for about maybe 2 to 3 weeks. Starting 12:01 tonight.

    Site Administrator,
    Randol.!

I went into a panic and rushed into Whyville Square crying out, "It's true! It's true!"

Admin said he was going to make Whyville better. Then, remembering the rumors about Whyville closing forever a while back, I asked, "Is this some kid playing a prank?"

Admin said, "Hardly, Lazzie. Check the BBS!" He assured us that our clams and everything would be ok.

Then City Hall herself came on.

When we swamped her with questions, she said, "Who told you that?"

"ADMIN!" cried everyone there. Everyone was upset. Everyone was worried. City Hall, on the other hand, was angry.

She said that Whyville was NOT shutting down, and she told Admin, "You either change your name or I will BANISH you." Admin's name is now Superguy3.

A few minutes later, 11 appeared in the Square again (he'd been off and on during the excitement, but he was never on when Admin was on). At last, he confessed that HE was Admin and HE thought the prank was sooo funny.

Do you think 11 should be punished for this unthinkable crime? Do you? Write me and tell me!

Your Faithful Reporter,

Lazzie
