PANDEMIC
My home, my family, swept away,
And in hospital, there I lay.
My body scarred and many a bruise,
Now there was nothing left to lose.

All my clothes tattered and torn,
My life felt packed up and gone.
There was nothing left for me to say,
Nothing left for me to do but pray.

Pray my family would come back to me,
Pray because of this horrible tsunami.
Pray for no more disease,
Praying, praying on my knees.

I felt like bad luck's favorite son,
But I knew the worst was yet to come.
So I had to save up all my tears,
And think positive of this unhappy new year.
