Voting was hosted on the Welcome Page for one week, in which about 4,700 votes were cast. (The 60,000 votes cast in the last election was very out of proportion; this was a low turnout, but not THAT low!)

The final votes came out like this:

• Rebok - 2,196
• babeeroxy - 1,681
• CuTiE1612 - 896

In her platform, Rebok stressed a change in the way plots are handled, extra tools for the Face Factory, dances and parties, and some way for citizens to carry enough projectiles to score at the Zero Gravity game without overloading their accounts.

Rebok is a veteran Whyvillian, having been a citizen since March 11, 2002. She also earns an enormous 132 clams a day, which is actually higher than the salary ledger will allow you to go! This is probably because of all the new activities recently added to Whyville -- the ledger needs to be updated! Perhaps that's another change that Rebok can pursue as Senator.

She owns a 12-room house at Ave B & 9th St in New Town 3. Her only appearance in the Times before her Senate platform was a cute photographic quiz entitled Where Am I?

Congratulations to Rebok, babeeroxy and CuTiE1612! We had three great candidates who each ran strong platforms, with Rebok pulling away in the final days of voting. Whyvillians chose all three of you as the cream of the crop -- we hope you enjoyed running!

The official Inauguration will be held sometime in the next week. Rebok will take the oath of office in the Greek Theater and may deliver an inauguration address. If you come, you may also see Senator softbll12, who is ending her six-month term as Senator.

The next Senate race will probably begin later this month. Think about your platforms, and join us at the Senate Meetings when you can!
