Life as a famous designer in Whyville is a mystery to most people on Whyville. Well, it ain't all cake and cookies. Believe it or not, some of our best designers deal with horrendous, complicated problems all the time.

This particulary applies to four designers I know, who I will refer to as Spades, Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs. Each one of them is faced with a classic fashion problem: Remakes.

But first, a little background info, based on what I understand about the story. Naturally, no one person knows all of the story, but I'll do my best....

Spades is from a big city on the west side of the United States. She is the fastest as well as the most experienced designer of these four. Spades is known for launching large amounts of detailed art works.

Hearts is also from a big city, but on the opposite side of the country from Spades. Highly creative, she mainly specializes on hair and little animals. The two designers are very good friends, and, when interviewed, this is what they said:

Spades: "I think very highly of [Hearts]. She is a very nice young lady and processes good manners and a good heart. Though we have never met in real life, I believe I have grown to like her as a close friend"

Hearts did not choose to participate in this interview.

The other side of this conflict belongs to Diamonds and Clubs. They are both from a Midwestern state and know each other in real life.

Diamonds is very high-spirited young lady who knows what she wants. She makes a variety of items, most of them anime based.

Clubs, on the other hand, is a very subtle girl who takes her time in her art, resulting in beautiful creations most would love to have. These creations are not for sale to the public for the time being. When asked about one another, this is what they said about each other:

Diamonds: "[Clubs] is an awesome friend and she's my bff [best friend forever] in real life. Sometimes I can get really mad at her because she does things that upset me and 'cause she has something that makes her forget what she said sometimes and forgets stuff... but she's kool."

Clubs: "[Diamonds] is one of my best friends and I know her in real life, too; we go to school together."

From what I gather, the problem started several months ago when Diamonds and Clubs were talking about a fabulous new idea. Back
then, Diamonds and Spades were best of friends on Whyville. Anyways, Hearts wanted part of the fashion action, and on a misinterpretation, upset Diamonds and Clubs by remaking their items, causing Clubs to quit Whyville for a while and Diamonds to get extremely angry.

Clubs returned a while later, when things had quieted down a bit. But then things got messy again.

It turns out that Spades had to take her finals, so she left her account to her younger cousin. (We will call her X). Inspired by the many hand-drawn parts Spades had dedicated to her, X decided to repay the favor by drawing some super cute items for Spades to toy with when she got back.

When these items hit the market, they were a huge success, and X, who did not know Clubs and was unfamiliar with Diamonds, kept restocking them. Sadly, the items were considered remakes by Diamonds and Clubs, who would not tolerate it. In anger, they chased X into quitting Whyville.

When Spades was interrupted from her studies, she grew very angry and launched a massive line of exact remakes, including the two new treasures made by Diamonds and Clubs, in order to make a point about real remakes and also give the public what they had been asking for.

Got the story so far? Good, because now you're about to see what these designers have to say about one another:

Spades: "I respect [Clubs]'s artwork because she works hard and makes many unique things. But I do not approve of the two calling my original kitties remakes of theirs, seeing that many things are different, INCLUDING SPECIES. More that that, I do not approve of the public calling them the same, because they are not! As for [Diamonds], we use to be best Whyville friends, and I do care how she feels about remakes, but I think she should stop saying discourteous things about me and learn to respect other people's rights to a capitalist economy."

Hearts, again, had nothing to say.

Diamonds: "I hate them V.V They are evil and don't care how [Clubs] and I feel, they just keep going on and on."

Clubs: "I think that they are nice people, but if they could only understand how hard it is for [Diamonds] to forgive people sometimes."

There you have it -- it's as full a story as I could report. Should the public be entitled to items that were made for private ownership? Or can people keep their own items to themselves? It's up to you to decide!

Editor's Note: An intriguing story, Jennrox9. I hope that all the participants knew you were writing about the events. :) Readers -- if there are other perspectives out there, send in as balanced a report as you can and I may publish it.
