Outside I see a beautiful day
Why don't I take advantage
I pack my bag with things to play
and a deliciously made food package
I walk out with my hopes held high
and a smile upon my face
I pass some people eating pie
and some little kids in a race
I walk into the park
and sit as I stare
as a little dog barks
at a kid unaware
The little kid plays with his RED bucket
Getting ever closer to the edge
The dog starts making a terrible racket
and I take the little kid to the hedge
I now walk away as the little kid cries,
but I know I have done something good
I see an ORANGE bird swoop as it flies
and I throw it some of my food
I sit on a bench and watch as it eats
my specially-packed YELLOW cheese
I watch as my neighbor performs daring "feats"
and I say, "Take the rest of this, please."
I lay out a picnic
on top of GREEN grass
I give friends a sandwich
and eat mine very fast
I look to the sky
and see it is cloudy
BLUE rain falls right down
The kid, he is pouty
I put up my INDIGO umbrella
and run home in no shoes
I see a cute fella
with an umbrella too
I run through my yard
not trampling VIOLET flowers
I start laughing hard
at my sisters with super powers
I look out my window
and see such a sight:
A colorful rainbow
is shedding its light
