I saw the look in your eyes and then it's gone.
And now I've moved on.
Maybe you're still down but you're not out.

I almost filled the hole in your heart.
Promises made left broken.
I can't blame it on you,
We went too fast.

We were never meant to be,
It's obvious now.
Sometimes I still see you holding on,
The way I used to.

The way I used to.

The years turn over and we're almost gone.
And I'm all grown up now.
Guess neither of us are the same person anymore.
It happens.

So I pack my final box,
Leave the empty room.
Look back and hear our echoes.
Sometimes I miss all the places we've been.

But life moves forward even when we're behind.
And I've found who I was meant for.
You've gotta disconnect, gotta let go.
Maybe you're still down, but you're not out.

And the years turn over and we're almost gone.
And I'm all grown up now.
Guess neither of us are the same person anymore.
It happens.
