Well, I am back, with riddles galore! It is a surprise to me that I am once again doing this, but I've had some people ask me to continue them, so here we go.

This week I have five, count 'em, five riddles for you. I hope this will sort of make up for when I was taking a break from being a riddler.

Also, just for fun, the prizes will be doubled! For those who don't know, regularly, the first place winner gets 100 clams, second gets 75, third gets 50 and fourth will recieve 25. This week, the rewards will be doubled.

Riddle #1 - I am the beginning of sorrow, and the end of sickness. You cannot express happiness without me, yet I am in the midst of crosses. I am always in risk, yet never in danger. You may find me in the sun, but I am never seen out of darkness.

Riddle #2 - How many letters are in the alphabet?

Riddle #3 - What happens when you throw a white rock into the Red Sea?

Riddle #4 - A man is asked what his daughters look like. He answers, "They are all blondes, but two, all brunettes, but two, and all redheads, but two." How many daughters did he have?

Riddle #5 - If one child has 6 2/3 sand piles and another has 3 1/3, and you combine them, how many sand piles do you have?

Well, there they are! Good luck to everyone and have fun trying to figure them out!

Still the Whyville Riddler,
Lana10

Editor's Note: Lana10, thank you for your riddles! Once you have the winners, please announce them in the BBS -- I'm not sure if we'll have another paper soon enough to merit publishing the winners separately.
