I haven't seen you in months,
but I still remember how you were.
You were the kind of person,
who was nice, caring, and who gave lots of hugs.

Until you started to do drugs,
something you know you shouldn't do,
you learned that in school and you know it isn't cool.

We all need you now,
but you have your addictions to feed.
It would be a lot easier if you were drug free.
You know drugs is the wrong way to go
because you had a long life ahead of you.

You are too young,
especially to be doing drugs,
Your family needs you by their side,
please stop trying to get high,
because you know you're going to die
don't let your life pass you by!

Author's note: I wrote this poem to my cousin when he started to do drugs but now he is getting help and he has been drug free for about a year now! :)
