Have you ever thought about the past? You probably have and have probably learned a little about some different eras in school. But have you ever looked up a certian year at Akbar's? Most likely not! So I'm going to take you on a blast from the past! I'm going to give you some interesting facts and some Whyville clothes for you to dress up in! So buckle your seat belts, because we're off!

The 1920's

This was the time of flapper girls, the underground tunnels and Al Capone. The age of prohibition, a.k.a. the ban of alcohol. They also invented frozen food (1929), and the rocket (1926). Charlie Chaplin arrived and became a famous comic actor and some people still watch his movies today! Now for the Whyville Styles you can pick up on from the 1920's!

The 1930's

The 1930's, commonly known as the Dirty Thirties. This was the time of the Great Depression. In 1931, the Star Spangled Banner became America's national anthem. Entertainment was plenty, whether it was Snow White or Superman. Albert Einstien was also alive and working hard! Check out these 30's Styles!

The 1940's

World War 2: Horrible, horrible, horrible. But they invented cool things like the frisbee (1948)! Sweaters were popular and tight ones at that. They said loose sweaters could get caught in machinery. The minimum wage per hour was $0.46! Antarctica was discovered as a continent and about 8,120,000 people were unemployed! Check out these fads!

The 1950's

Elvis! (Hums ain't nothing but a hound dog). In the 50's if you had a TV you'd be the most popular kid on the block! Silly putty (1949), Hula Hoops (1957) and Barbie (1959) were invented! It was a pretty neat age, beacuse all the companies made war supplies during the war so after it they had some pretty cool ideas to get started on! Here's some styles for you!

The 1960's

The twist was the style of dance for you to be dancin'! Soon the girls were wearing mini skirts, leather boots and fake eyelashes! The guys wore paisley shirts, velvet trousers and high collared regency jackets. Guys wore their hair long! The computer mouse was invented (1964) and the Vietnam War was on. Check these out!:

The 1970's

DISCO!!! Pet rocks were big and so were platform shoes! In 1974, speed limits decreased to 55 mph on highways and Patricia Hearts was abdcuted. Girls were finally allowed to play in little league baseball and the first pocket calculators arrived! The Crissy Doll had hair that you could grow by just a push of a button! Look for this one 70's shirt, 1970s Retro Guru Shirt!
