If you were at the most recent Meet the Makers, you would know about "Food Tickets." Also, you would know that the food tickets involve choosing the right, healthy food. Well, I have some tips for the game, and eating healthy in real life!

First, I will start with a story: In kindergarten my mom and dad didn't care about what I ate (Although my mom was slightly cautious). One day after school, my dad went to Winn-Dixie and bought me a box of Lucky Charms. I was very happy, because Lucky Charms were the latest thing. Well, the next morning, I couldn't wait to try them. I rushed downstairs, and ate all I could. At school that day, I felt sick. I was dizzy, and couldn't focus. Then my stomach felt strange, and I ran to the bathroom. On the way, I couldn't contain myself and threw up. It was Neon Green . . . nasty. It was right in a doorway and nobody could get out.

With that said, here are some tips for your health:

- Try to eat organic foods. They don't have pesticides, but are still healthy and safe to eat!

- Limit fast-food. At my house, we only eat out once a week.

- Avoid eating too fast. This can make you sick, or just really gassy.

- Aim to have vegetables at every meal. They make you healthy, and help you gain strength!

And now, some tips that affect how you look:

- Don't eat or drink too many french fries or sodas! They cause you to have acne and zits. This doesn't mean you can't have them every once and awhile.

- Eat broccoli to help strengthen your bones. If you are like me, and hate broccoli, ask your parents if you can have just the bottom stem. It's as healthy as the top!

- When eating salad, try to get some dark green leaves (spinach) into it.

- Don't eat too many snack foods! These can cause you to be fat, and slow.

- Eat protein at every meal. This is an important part of growing! This includes: peanut butter, eggs, fish, meat, beans, etc.

And the most important tip of all:

Exercise at least 2-3 times a week. This can keep you active and in shape!
