I decided to interview our newest Senator because not all of us know too much about him. Of course, we've read his platform and went to the Senate Debate, but do you want to get to know the real Andy? In this interview, Andy answered a few questions for Rubigurl4 (me). ;)

Rubigurl4: Hey Andy! I would just like to congratulate you on your win and ask a few questions.
Andy109: Thanks! Okay I would love to answer some questions.

Rubigurl4: We've all wanted to know, what do you think about the other competitors for Senator?
Andy109: They were all excellent. Within the final three I know many people had difficult choices to make on who to vote for - as we all had lots to bring to Whyville.

Rubigurl4: I'm sure the other competitors thought the same about you. What were some of your strategies to win?
Andy109: I'm not sure. I guess my primary stategy was to have lots of friends and hope to have them cheer me on :D

Rubigurl4: Funny! How do you think Whyvillians felt about your win?
Andy109: I guess some Whyvillians were satisified, and some Whyvillians were dissatisfied. =)

Rubigurl4: What are some of your plans to help Whyville become a better place?
Andy109: I want to give more people a chance to participate in Whyville decision making. I want to host forums in the Greek Theater where citizens can make suggestions or comments. :)

Rubigurl4: How do you feel about your win Andy?
Andy109: I'm proud. It was a tough race. :D

Rubigurl4: That's great. Do you have any advice for the members of Whyville craving to become a Senator just like you?
Andy109: Start to meet people, ask them what ideas they'd like to see in Whyville - even before elections start. Ask people to help you write your platform, and ask them to back you up. Don't just write a platform and wait - really ask people to read your ideas. :)
Rubigurl4: (WINK!WINK! There's some advice for all who want to become a Senator! Use it wisely.)

Rubigurl4: How long has it been since you first joined Whyville?
Andy109: I think five years. You can check my City Records for more information.

Rubigurl4: How often are you logged into Whyville?
Andy109: I don't chat everyday - I try to get on at least every other day to answer mail. The weekends I'm not usually on Whyville, lately I have been though :D. In about 2002-2004, I left Whyville, for various reasons, and only recently have I really become an active citizen in Whyville again. :D

Rubigurl4: Where do you most frequently visit on Whyville?
Andy109: Club Why, and sometimes Jupiter. Most recently Greek Theater. :D

Rubigurl4: What kind of hobbies are you into?
Andy109: Hahaha, I like to think of myself as a drama/musical nerd, but I'm not. I participate in speech and debate, and play RPGs. :)

Rubigurl4: Haha, What do you find most interesting about yourself?
Andy109: That my hair grows very quickly.

Rubigurl4: That's interesting, but what's your favorite feature about Whyville?
Andy109: I LOVE the way you chat. The chat bubbles are sweet.

This concludes the interview with Andy, our newest Senator. I would once again like to congratulate Andy on his win! Would you have ever thought that Andy was a "drama nerd" - or that his hair grows quickly? Haha Andy included some interesting facts within this interview. Andy will be a great Senator! Remember that any of you can be a senator if you put your minds to it. ;D
