Well, I was reading an issue of the Whyville Times, and I was thinking, my dear friend Hermionez deserved the title of Whyvillian in the Spotlight!

Well, Joanna is 14 and she lives in New Jersey, USA. She has been on Whyville about 3 years. All in all, Joanna is a normal person, just like you and me.

Over the time she has been with us, she has been y-mail helper, Times Writer, and a scholastic team captain.

"I feel lucky that I found this site. It helped me to really realize that who I was wasn't weird and nerdy because there were tons of people online at least who liked who I was. Whyville has been a huge help to me, so I have tried to give back as much as I can," Joanna stated.

She attends High School. She writes for the Whyville Times and her school newspaper. Not only does she write for newspapers, but she also plays a few musical instruments. She plays the clarinet and the piano. She is also a girl scout working on her gold medal.

She gives back to her community and Whyville. Recently, she knitted blankets for sick and needy babies. She is also a number of things on Whyville.

Her hobbies are writing, marching band, and dance. She is a good student. She has taken dance since she was five-years old. She has played the piano for nine years, and she has played the clarinet for six years. She also said that she loves helping people. She thinks that there are no stupid questions. Just like every one else, she hates people asking her for clams.

All in all, Joanna is just your average kid, trying to make her way through life.

And that is why I think Hermionez should get to be Whyvillian in the Spotlight!
