Hey there Whyvillians. I know there's been this huge controversy about all these Club Whyers being nominated as WITS. You know what. I had a lot of spare time on my hands. I went to all of the chatrooms. There were plenty of people. I sat in each chat room for about three or four minutes. I saw nothing amazing. No one helping out anybody. No one saying anything supportive, or trying to cheer anybody up. There wasn't anyone that stuck out.

You might all think I'm just nominating this person because she's my best friend. You might think that I'm nominating her because she goes to Club Why. Both of these things are true. But that's not why I'm nominating her.

You might not like me for this, but I don't care, and neither would she. She doesn't care what people think of her that much. She's an individual. Not only that, but she encourages others to be individuals. Ask her what her hair's called, and she won't snap at you and tell you that she doesn't tell her parts. She'll smile and tell you you should try experimenting, and that it can be fun.

Chalkie (Allison) is one of my few friends in real life. She's not friends with me because she wants to use me. She's friends with me because we share similar interests. We get along well. That's what friendship should be about.

Allison is nice. According to my teacher, "nice" is a wish-washy word, along with "cool" and "awesome," which also describe Allison well. We laugh over everything. We probably hold some sort of record for the most inside jokes. After all, I was just circling Elenor for her . . .

Meat. Allison doesn't like meat. A few months ago she stopped eating meat after seeing the horrible conditions that the animals we kill to eat live in. She saw what really happens in factory farms. She also thinks that fake meat tastes like rubber. But if she covers it in hot sauce it tastes okay.

Allison is really smart. She also enjoys playing basketball and attending Pathfinders. She plays the euphonium in band, which is like a baby tuba. Allison is her own person. She doesn't need someone to tell her what's in style, or what's trendy. I don't think Allison has ever been taped. Allison isn't a y-mail helper, or a Times writer. She isn't the most popular Whyvillian, but she does have many online friends.

Allison is perfect for WITS. But then again, how can anyone define what a perfect citizen is? Everyone has different qualities, but no one's really perfect. Everyone's done something wrong. So don't judge Allison on how she has chosen to arrange her pixels. Judge her personality. Or don't judge her at all.

Yours in Whyville,
Dartanian
