The Bongy, Part II

Read "The Bongy, Part I" here.

Andy and Joanna had dozed off that night while watching TV in their E-Z chairs. The Bongy peeked its half dog/half bunny face (while munching on a banana) around the corner to make sure they were still sleeping, then slowly tip-toed across across the room and slid through the science lab door.

There it was, the brilliant, gleaming machine that the Bongy owed its mixed-up life to. He smiled wickedly at it, and threw the banana peel into the machine.

Just as he was about to pull the lever to turn the machine on, the door creaked open. Joanna and Andy had woken up as the Bongy opened the door to the laboratory, and quickly but silently followed him. They peeked through the door, and the Bongy froze, his paw on the lever. They ran to him, which made the Bongy jump, and with all the commotion going on, somehow Andy and Joanna managed to kick the Bongy into the machine without realizing it.

As they reached in to get the Bongy out, Andy leaned on the lever accidentally and turned the machine on. Joanna and Andy screamed, and the Bongy banged on the plastic covering, wanting to get out. The machine grabbed the Bongy and banana peel and started up the sewing, cutting, and stapling.

Andy and Joanna watched in horror as the banana peel shot up into the top of the machine and started being smushed to pieces.

KABOOOOOOM!!! The machine exploded! Andy and Joanna stared at it, wondering what would happen next. Within seconds, a strange animal burst out of the machine, breaking the door open. THEN (as if it couldn't get any worse) out popped a ton of slimy green eggs.

"What the....?"

"What is it?"

"Ewww....!"

"WHAT IS IT?!"

They walked closer to get a better look and the eggs started cracking open. Joanna gasped and Andy squinted at the eggs, dumbfounded. They looked strangely like a Bongy... but with yellow fur.

The strange animal, which was now standing behind them, came up and collected all of the babies. The bigger animal turned out to be their pet, the Bongy, covered in a thick mass of green slime. Joanna and Andy took him and the little Bongies to the backyard and hosed them off. Since there was NO possible way that they could give any Bongies away (a promise they had made to the creator, Yolanda), they kept all of them, which was 23 in total. And they SORT OF (I mean come on, 24 Bongies is a lot to deal with) lived happily ever after.
