Remembrance Day

Rememberance Day is a time to say,
We remember those who were put in dismay,
They suffered from pain, they suffered from sorrow,
They hoped all would end,
When it came to be tomorrow.

As each day passed, more strength died,
They just couldn't win,
No matter how hard they tried,
With those countries at war,
It seemed that there would be no final score.

As it was finally able to end,
Some were able to mend,
Some were quite ill
Some will recover,
Some never will.

For others,
It was time to die,
And say their last goodbyes.
They were taken from all they love,
And will be happy in heaven above.
