My Day in Whyville

Note from the Editor: Biscuit's article from two weeks ago has inspired us to start a new column in the Times, to be called Whyville Diaries. Submit articles describing how you spend a typical day in Whyville. With enough entries, we will turn this into a contest with clam prizes and trophies!

Ok, well, I was reading the Times and I saw a note from the Editor about having a new column with a typical Whyville day as a diary entry in it, so here is mine:

I used to have no clams, so my day would be to try to save up as many as I could by playing more games to raise my salry, and by going to Grandma's so I would spend less if I got something from her. Now I have made a lot of products in Akbar's so when I log in to Whyville I usually have about 200 clams or something. I have stopped trying to get as many face parts as I can because I've done that already (unless I see something I really like in Akbar's or just feel like trying something new). Now I work on my house.

I will usually stay around the Square for a little while until I'm tired of hearing so many, "Can I have some clams?" that I will leave for the Pool Party where I know that it won't be as annoying and I will probably find someone I know.

I always check my bank ledger to see how many clams I have and how I got them and if I need to re-stock some face parts at the Face Factory. Then I will make enough parts to last for a while and go buy stuff at the Furniture Farm.

I have six bedrooms in my house. There are some things I still need to buy that I need but if I don't have enough clams I will buy extra things like another bed in case I get a new house guest, or plants to decorate. I'll usually then buy prjectiles and throw them at people in the Platz', or sometimes there is a b/c (beauty contest) going on there that I'll be in.

The best thing to do in Whyville when I'm on is to decorate my house and make face parts. That's what I usually do.

Thanx and now signing off...

My typical day in Whyville always starts with a quick check on my other accounts. I send the clams from them to my usual account and then go for a good old spend at Akbar's, usually buying one or two outfits (depending on the prices charged).

I then go to pick ma nose and put on a saucy outfit, then head for the Pool. I check out who is there; if there is someone there I usually start a conversation... if not, I check ma map to see the place that's the most full and head straight there.

If I am in the mood, I go and have a game of one of the spinning games or try to complete the Great Balloon Race (which to be truthful, I still haven't completed). I then check out how many clams I have left -- I leave some aside, then I head to the Dance Studio.

I am really into dance, so if I am feeling bored or angry a good old dance always cheers me up!!

After this, I sometimes walk down to Grandma's and check out what groovy new stuff she has for me that day (which basically for the last few weeks has been zilch). Then I jog down to the Ad Agency, say a couple of words and send that up to fly. I love to see ma messages flying through the Square!

After this, I check out the Bulletin Boards, petitions, polls, etc and say what I feel on the matter... if it's a petition, you can't say much, you just vote or ya don't, really.

Well, basically that's my typical day on Whyville... not very interesting if ya think about it, but hey dont blame me, it's ma first time writing! Well, c ya for now.
