This is a broadcast of the final two episodes of a miniseries tells a story of holy wars and crusades, torture and terror, and the struggle for human rights and dignity. Based on previously unreleased secret documents from European archives, including the Vatican's, it covers events in medieval France, 15th-century Spain, Renaissance Italy and mid-19th-century Europe. In "The War On Ideas" the behavior of a Medici pope in Rome outrages a devout German priest named Martin Luther. In the face of the resulting Protestant Reformation, a fanatical pro-Vatican monk sets out to exterminate the Protestant heresy. On his path to power, the monk creates Roman Inquisition. The concluding program, "The End Of The Inquisition" is about the actual secret files of the Inquisition which were locked away for centuries. In the story a Spanish priest devotes his life to exposing these cruel deeds. While Napoleon was spreading the ideas of the French Enlightenment, Italy was invaded, the Inquisition abolished and the files were sent to Paris. Rated TV-PG

"Naked Science: Deep Space Probe / Deadliest Planets / Moon Mysteries"

This is a broadcast a three documentary series about space. "Naked Science: Deep Space Probes" is about robot space probes opening up a new frontier of exploration for humankind. They venture millions of miles away to planet Mars and Saturn's moon, Titan, in hope of answering one of our most fundamental questions: is there life elsewhere in our solar system? "Deadliest Planets" shows how humans may someday develop technology to settle on other planets. What hazards would we face in accomplishing this feat? And is it possible to make other planetary environments more like our own? What are the challenges we may possibly face in our quest to one day live on a neighboring planet. "Moon Mysteries" show how the moon has reshaped our world, creating our seasons, our 24-hour days and nights, our tides, and perhaps even influencing the evolution of life here on earth. Is the moon powerful enough to trigger natural disasters like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions? Can the full moon influence human behavior?

"That's The Way It Is: Celebrating Walter Cronkite At 90"

The world is a very different place than it was in the 1960s and '70s when one voice seemed to speak for all Americans and, in so doing, to bind the nation together. That unique and iconic voice was, of course, Walter Cronkite's. He continues to work from his office at CBS headquarters in New York, turning 90 last Nov. 4. Celebrating the legend gives CBS News colleagues Don Hewitt, Dan Rather, Morley Safer and Mike Wallace a rare opportunity to take viewers behind the headlines that Cronkite masterfully reported. And competitors Ted Koppel, Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters, as well as the newest generation of anchors???Katie Couric, Charles Gibson and Brian Williams -- understand what Cronkite represented and talk about his continued influence today. The program also features interviews with individuals from Cronkite's personal life, including actor George Clooney, actor/comedian Robin Williams, Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart and filmmaker Spike Lee, all long-time friends who share some surprising personal thoughts and recollections of the iconic newsman.

"Gabon: The Last Eden"

This documentary explores the central African country of Gabon. Surrounded by nations plagued by civil war and rampant exploitation of natural resources, the wilds of Gabon may be the last hope for many of Africa's species. Gabon's leaders have taken a bold and unprecedented step, establishing a system of national parks covering more than 10 percent of the country. Nothing on this scale has ever been attempted in Africa. But even this may not be enough, as logging, poaching, and oil exploration threaten the wild heart of this nation and the African continent.
