Uganda, Africa. Something serious is taking place there but not many people know it. Not many people know that there is a war and children are the victims. Little children.

For almost two decades now, a brutal Civil War has threatened the East African country of Uganda. The government has been fighting a rebel group call the Lord's Resistance Army, or LRA. They are led by Joseph Kony, an elusive man who reportedly believes that he is God. Many call this on of the worst rebel movements on the planet.

But unlike a regular war, the LRA do something much more savage than just kill their opponents. They either abduct or kill children. Most of the ones abducted are forced to engage in rape, murder, kidnappings, cannibalism, and torture. Sometimes, they would kill a child right in front of others eyes just so they know to come quietly. The situation has gotten so bad that people cannot fly over Uganda for fear of being shot down.

These children are starving and don't know when they wake up if they will have clean water for that day. They live in camps away from their parents. Many have a sibling who has been killed. But the one thing that they still have ???- hope.

What can I do?

The first thing you can do if you want to help is go to www.invisiblechildren.com. There, you can get more information on it, buy their documentary when they went to Uganda, or buy a bracelet. These bracelets come with a CD that tells a story of a person living in Uganda.

The other thing you could so is to tell someone. If you tell one person and that person tells one person and so on and so on, this crisis won't be in the dark anymore.
