Hi again! This is Meg doing my second article! In my last article I interviewed Takashie. This time I asked MagicBox some questions. You probably have seen MagicBox's face parts all around Whyville, her shirts, signs, and more. I'm wearing some of her face parts right now, and so are some of my close friends! MagicBox is such a great face part designer I really wanted to know how she got started, and you might too. So sit back, relax, and get inside the designer's mind!

megmeg9: How did you get started in the face part industry?
MagicBox: I guess you could say I got started when my mom let me borrow her credit card, ha ha, and I bought my first Why Pass :} The first parts I ever made were the bobble headbands because I used to love those things when I went on Whyville a long time ago on my old account. :P

megmeg9: We all love the bobble heads! Why did you make face parts?
MagicBox: A lot of the time I make them because I can't find a face part I like in Akbar's, so I just make it myself. And of course, the clams they bring in is nice too.
megmeg9: I'm bad at making face parts so I usually just ask for requests. :) I bet you get a lot of clams from your face parts! Who are your favorite designers on Whyville?
MagicBox: My favorite designers are probably Alison423 and Yargpixie. I love all of Alision423's shirts, she's super creative and Yargpixie always has a random funny part that I can add to my look to make it more unique.
megmeg9: I never heard of Allison423, I'll look up her face parts next time at Akbar's. It's always good to be unique! Are your face parts inspired by anyone or anything? If yes, who or what?
MagicBox: Definitely, I get a ton of inspiration from my favorite store Forever21. Every time I go there I'm there for hours and I spend like crazy. A lot of my shirts on Whyville resemble the shirts I buy there.
megmeg9: Forever 21 is one of my favorite stores! Any tips you have for your fans on how to make good face parts?
MagicBox: The only tips I can give you are patience and practice. A lot of people just rush through their parts and give up after a few minutes. When I start making a part, at first it looks like a big colorful blob but then I zoom in and shape it out a bit better and it turns out really good in the end. So use the zoom tool as much as you can, and don't rush!
megmeg9: I should use your tips next time in the Akbar's Factory! Do you have any favorite face parts of yours? If yes, what are they?
MagicBox: My favorite parts are probably the "Lets bake..." shirts and A True Whyvillians hat. I had to make that hat three times before Akbar finally accepted it, but it was worth it. I love anything that has a ton of bright neon colors in it.

megmeg9: I love the "Lets Bake..." shirts, your fans can probably tell how creative you are. How did you make such great face parts? I can't imagine how you did, I have a hard time making them myself!
MagicBox: I've always been pretty good at art in school and I guess doing it on the computer just came naturally, ha ha, and again, Practice and patience =}
megmeg9: Art is a fun subject :) I guess everything takes practice and patience these days! lol. In the future, do you think you will continue to make and to restock your face parts?
MagicBox: Well I can't promise anything but I'll definitely try to make as many as I can!

Hope my article helped you get to know MagicBox's artistic side! I encourage you to look her face parts up and buy some. Also if you want to try to take a swing at making face parts, buy a Why Pass or look for a Face Factory Voucher!

This is Meg, going back to Akbar's Face Mall!
