Hey again, I'm back with another review. That title sure is a mouthfull! Anyways, all of you on Whyville have probably heard of this book, or even played the game that goes with it. Well, my friend who is one of the masters of the Piff Well, let me borrow the book.

"The Misadventures of Benjamin Bartholomew Piff" is written by Jason Lethcoe. It isn't a super long book. Maybe about 200 pages or so. I suggest it for those who like the Piff Well or would like to get better at it, or people who like fantasy books. It isn't very fantasy, but has some of the same kinds of characters (like Genies, Fairies, and Leprechauns.)

The characters are Ben Bartholomew Piff, Thomas Candlewick, Gene, Jeannie, Snifflewiffle, Thornblood, Solomon Roach, Rags, Ms. Pinch, and many more.

Benjamin is an orphan who lost his parents in a plane accident. He lives at Pinch's home for wayward boys. The story takes place around his birthday, so of course he makes a wish. Well Ben didn't make just any ordinary wish. He made a wish that could end the whole world. So to fix his mistake, Ben and many others must go to battle against Thornblood and his Spider Monkeys at Curseworks so they can get the wish globe to unwish Ben's wish. Will they succeed? You will have to read it to find out.

I thought this book was really good. It wasn't at all like what I thought it would be. It also helped me to know more answers to the Piff Well game. My favorite part of the book was at the end where it had all of the presidents of Wishworks listed, because they had some really funny names. I'd give this book a Five Star rating. I'm glad Whyville had the Piff Well, it is the reason I read the book. That, and the fact that my friend bought it.

Next I asked my friend what he thought of the book.

Nolegirl6: What did you think of this book?
Vancyon: I think the book was great, it made me want to keep reading.
Nolegirl6: What was your favorite and least favorite part?
Vancyon: I would say the first chapter. In most books the first chapter is very boring.
Nolegirl6: Would you recommend his book to someone?
Vancyon: Yes, I would. But not a 14+ year old.
Nolegirl6: If you were to give this book a 1-5 star rating, what would you give it?
Vancyon: I would say 4. It was a good book, but I think it was too short. It was very original.
Nolegirl6: Did the Piff Well in Whyville make you want to read the book?
Vancyon: Yes, the Piff well was what made me buy the book. Well . . . that and the word theumaturgis cardioscope -- I wanted to know what it meant, LoL! Turns out it looks at peoples' "wishes".

Well, that just about wraps things up. Thanks for reading, I'll see you next time!

And remember, "Be careful what you wish for"
