100 to 100,000

Dear City Hall,

I cant believe it's 100,000!!! Our little town sure has grown from 100 when I first was here!

I found your site a year ago on a search engine and was sooo happy I did, I thought it was so neat how your head could float around and talk to others. And then all the other features came rolling in and I was even more excited.

There are so many memories in our online town. I remember the big blackout! I was about to scream when I couldn't get into Whyville for about 2-3 weeks!

I would talk to everyone who was also a newbie. I remember the Times Building you could see in Whyville Square. The Pool Party and the Square was empty! Most people spent their time in the Sportzplatz or EVERYONE was trying to raise their own salary.

I'm really happy our town has come this far, but I'm also kinda sad that it has -- all the older Whyvillians don't get much respect. All the new people come in here and tell us we don't know anything.

When there were only about 100 people on Whyville, people were all friends and no one was left out. There weren't that many people on Whyville at one time, but now there seems to be over 5000 people at one time!

Whyville used to be a nice peaceful world, where there was no cussing and no mean name-calling. Now, every room you go into, people are warning the not-so-good looking people and telling some of the oldest Whyvillians, the people who have been on Whyville since there was 100 or fewer people, that they don't know anything and that they are more trusted by you guys. :(

Our town isn't falling apart, no way, don't get me wrong, but some of our town's citizens are getting a bit out of control!! I know I wasn't the 1st Whyvillian, or even the 50th, but our little town has grown to 100,000 and some of the newest, maybe even the 100,000th treat us like we did something wrong! It really isn't fair.

Maybe it is not my place to be saying this. I guess life isn't always fair, even on Whyville, so I guess I will have to live with this fact. Our town was once simple and peaceful, and now it is complex and loud! I liked it the old way, but the new is ok I guess.. *sigh* As I said before, those were the days...

Overall, though, I am happy for our little town becoming the 100,000-population town it is today! Good luck in making this town the best in the world, although it already is! I want to wish you luck in your future plans. Talk to you later, Whyville. : )
