Think about how many friendships you've had over the years that didn't last very long. Why do they end? Because people change, you get new classes of which your friend is not in, or one of you moves. These aren't the only reasons.

Sometimes it seems like the person just doesn't want to be friends with you anymore. As if they've gotten tired of you and decided that you weren't that cool anymore. Other times, you get in a huge fight and never speak to each other again. If this has ever happened to you, I advise that you try to make up with that friend. Unless that person truly did something terrible, and it's not just your bruised ego. I hope this article will help you decide what to do with those friendships that you don't know how to keep up with.

People Changing

Sometimes there's nothing that you can do to stop people from developing different hobbies and interests, or making new friends. Sometimes you'll find that you are becoming like them, too. Other times, they'll become completely different from you and you will find that you two have nothing in common. For these times, it's best to just let the friendship be. It might drift away, or it might make you closer. You don't always have to try so hard. Be yourself. If you don't feel comfortable around your friend anymore, you probably don't want to be around them anymore. Don't worry if they're popular

What if they don't like me anymore?

If they tell you that they don't like you anymore, then maybe they weren't truly your friend in the first place. Think, did they ever "borrow" your money? How often did they take your things without giving them back? Did they ever just come to your house to watch your TV or go on your computer? Did they ever blab your secrets? If you answered "yes" to any of theses questions, then that was probably why they were even your friend to begin with, but sometimes they just plain don't want to be your friend. Don't take it personally. It happens to all of us at one point or another. We've got to learn to accept it.

If you are having any friendship problems, I hope that this helped. I encourage you to resolve any misunderstandings or fights you've had over the years. Without friends we'd be nothing, and I believe that friendships make us who we are. When you are with a true friend, your troubles flee, and you feel that you can accomplish anything. A friendship lasts forever.

This is book67, signing off to call that person I fought with at school today.
