"I'm pretty weird . . . " She says " . . . But that's why I'm cool."

I'm sure we would all agree.

The name Morgan means "circling sea" or "great brightness." I don't believe any other name would fit her better. We call her Morgie, but that doesn't change the meaning any. When I think of Morgan, I think of light.

This week's spotlight winner, if you couldn't tell, is Morgan612. I've been trying to think all morning how I can keep this WITS short enough to fit in the Times. There is so much to this girl, it's hard to fit into 10 paragraphs.

Morgan has been on Whyville since 2005, and since then made a lot of accomplishments. Morgan is a y-mail helper. Of course. She can find time to help anyone, time to make them feel better, get up and started and going through life again.

It's strange how she can write for the Times, continue her job as a y-mail helper and bless her friends with her fun and carefree presence when she has so much going on in her real life. Morgie is a member of Key Club and in the program Big Brothers and Big Sisters. That says a lot. Frankly, I'm not surprised. Morgan is the type of person who always seems to go above and beyond for everyone. It's hard to do that sometimes, especially when you barely know them.

When I first met her, I was shocked. She was so friendly and kind . . . but not in that polite, held-back kind of way. Her personality literally bursts through the seams. It makes you want to be more like her.

Many of you know her face from the Times. Besides writing numerous articles over the years, she has started an amazing new column called "Job of the Week". So far she has written about a psychologist and the career as a writer. Both are incredibly well written and informative. You ought to check them out.

Morgan also loves playing soccer. "Obsessed" would be the word to use, I believe. I have to agree with her on that point. She's 15, and much more mature than anyone I have met at her age. Morgie has 4 younger siblings and lives in Ohio.

And, man, does she have a lot of friends. She doesn't need to try hard, really. She attracts people. It takes a special kind of person to just be who they are and be so well-liked. "I just go around and make friends with random people, some have cool names like Lola. So I'm like, 'LOLA OMG. I love that name I wish my name was Lola!'" Morgie tells me.

But I think Morgan fits her very well, thank you very much.
