Hello Whyville. We've all heard people say how cool drugs are, how drinking is the popular thing to do, and how sex makes you feel better about yourself. It's called peer pressure, many teenagers give in to it to become popular when really you could end up dead or with a child that you can't afford to take care of. No one thinks that this could happen to them, well think again.

Drugs - They start selling them in middle school. Or you could be going to the movie theater and there's a drug dealer. You think they make you cool, but really, you're messing up your life. Sure, you might think it's just one cigarette, but just one can do the trick. Sooner or later you catch yourself in the 7 Eleven with your fake I.D. trying to get another pack. Now down the road you aren't popular nor cool, and people can't stand to be around you. And now you have to tell your parents what you've been doing and ask them for help. The road of drugs isn't cool, you hear about so many people dying each day. Why make yourself one more person?

Sex - Guys love it, but is it really worth it girls? Sure, it seems fine when you boyfriend says he loves you, everything will be fine, etc. WRONG! Especially if your boyfriend has been with numerous girls, he may have a(n) STD (Sexual Transmitted Disease) and pass it on to you. Or if you have unprotected sex you may become pregnant. Even if you do have protected sex, there's always the chance that the condom may break, or that birth control won't work. So, why take that chance? If your boyfriend won't wait for you to be ready, he isn't worth it.

Alcohol - Ah, the parties. What's number one on the party-list? Alcohol. Having a few drinks is cool, sip after sip, you're starting to loose up . . . before you know it you find yourself on top of a table with no clothes on, making a fool of yourself. You wake up with a hundred new pictures on your camera. All from last night, and now everyone in your school has them. One major problem is, you don't remember any of it. Alcohol doesn't only mean not remembering things, making a fool of yourself, etc, it also can make you violent around your family and friends (just like drugs). What's the point?

Think before you do drugs, have sex, or alcohol. It really isn't worth wasting your life.

This is CupOfCake tell you all, live above the influence.
