Hello my fellow Whyvillians! The announcement you have all been waiting for is here . . .

The voting has ended and the tallies are in. We officially have our winners for the first ever Whyville Times Awards! We had a great turnout from voters and had some really close finishes.

Since this is such an exciting event for Whyville, we decided we needed a better way to announce the winners than just an article in the Times. So . . . put on your best ball gowns and tuxes, we are having an awards ceremony in the Greek Theater (this one will NOT be picketed by the Writer's Guild)!

The ceremony will take place next Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 4pm (Whyville Time). Everyone is invited to attend, but seating will be limited. Lovedyed and myself will act as your hosts for the event.

I know everyone is curious as to what our winners will receive . . . and you'll have to wait for the ceremony to find out!

One final thing, this has been an amazing event made possible by Cobd, the judges, and you. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this a reality. It never ceases to amaze me the pure creativity and talent in the Times. I hope that this is just the beginning for the Times Awards and that they will continue to grow for the many years to come.

I hope to see you all at the ceremony!
