After a very LONG Senate Race, here are the results for Whyville's 14th Senator Election:

Peachadee: 65%
Ps2man1: 24%
Willis4: 11%

Congratulations to Peachadee for pulling out an incredibly landslide win!

However, this election we have decided to change the way Senators are chosen, so we are now electing three Senators at once. What does that mean? Well . . . all three of our candidates are now our newest Senators!

The new term will be four months. The next election cycle will start a little bit before that to ensure a clean transition.

For the next election, we'll take the five or six candidates who get the highest number of signatures on their platforms and those will participate in the final debate (as opposed to the three we have had in the past). Then, Whyville will vote from those candidates and the top three will become the new Senators.

In case you are new to this whole thing and are wondering what Senators actually do . . . they delete bad petitions and hold monthly meetings to discuss new ideas for our town with the public and with the City Workers.

The inauguration date for peachadee, ps2man1 and willis4 is to be determined, and will be announced soon.

Congratulations again and we look forward to a great term!

Yours in Whyville,
Times Editor
