These boxes of poison
These addictive drugs
Everywhere I look
and everywhere I go
When will it all stop

Looking like dragons
Puffing their deadly fumes
Burning their lungs,
and melting their tongues
When will it all stop

Saying everything is fine
Lying to their own flesh and blood
Fights, arguments, pain
Tears of disappointment, not joy
When will it all stop

One pack, two packs a day
Is it really worth it
Killing yourself when you have so much to live for
Is this the way you want to go
When will it all stop

The cancer
The goodbyes
The regrets
The tears . . .
When will it all stop

Do my eyes make you wince
Does your heart shrivel like a prune
Do I make you want to smoke it all away
Puff, puff, there go my worries
When will it all stop

Lungs decreasing
Lies increasing
Blood boiling,
and tears overflowing
When will it all stop

I know you love me
and I love you
Fighting will not be an option
So let us take away the poison
