Hi2u2 signing on...
On September 12, 2000, I was in a site called "KidsKorner.com" and read a
message board slip where someone mentioned a cool website named Whyville. I
had zippity clue about this site. I was thinking, "Is this a bad site, not
for kids, or will it be the coolest site EVER!!??"
I was nervous when I was on my way. I typed out www.whyville.net and saw the ol' octopus and he welcomed me and I said to myself, "This looks fun." I was so excited that, instead of entering as a guest, I went to register right away and tried many names, all of which were taken. Then I remembered, I have a cat named "Mystique" (it's French), so I signed my first nick as "Mystical7". Someone else owns it now -- lets just say I kindly handed it over to her. :) -- but back to my story...
I walked in the Square, clueless of what was going on, and someone named "cute077" LoL, I remember her warning me! and I was, like, "Haha, someone got an X on em!", not knowing it was me.
That was back in the days when you joined in right away and your first time there you could chat. :) Then, I wanted to chat, but I didn't know how to send messages, and so
I'd type hi and my words would be in gray and other peoples' were blue; I was freaking
out . So I called my classmate and now a well-known Whyvillian, ToMMyGrL. She joined up as KittieKat and signed in. Right away she knew how
to chat -- I practically spazzed on her the next day of school!! LoL! Then she
explained to me how to chat and then I got chatting.
A girl I saw just yesterday was there when I joined. Her name was "LILKIM": she offered me a makeover, and since I was a newbie and all ugly and "X"ed, I accepted. But she didn't keep her promise and never gave me that makeover. "The next time I see her, I swear I'll give her the lip, and I'll say the lip in nice words!!" I said to myself. I saw her the next day and asked her when she was gonna give me the makeover. She said she changed her mind, and I was upset.
Then asked the well known Britmaria and asked her, "How do u look so
pwetty?"
"You havta get clams and raise a salary, want me to donate u some so ur started?" she answered. I was confused, not knowing what to do. Then she gave me the clams and I found out how to check my mail. Then I raised my salary to 10, and I thought, "THAT WILL GET ME REALLY FAR!!!" LoL, I didn't realize that a salary of 10 was small! But at least it was a start.
Then ToMMyGrL and I started looking better, so we searched as a group to find friends. Then we met KoRn7 (now he's Proof69). He introduced himself to me and I didn't wanna say my real name so I said it was Cindy. Then I met pixie23 and her friends. They made me feel really accepted. Sadly, someone found out my password and stole my account.
I was tired of trying the same thing over and over, so I made a new nick, Destiny1. Someone owns her now, too. :) Then I had to look better again so I went through the whole 3 bases of newbie life.
THEN I FOUND HI2U2! Boy is she a blast, eh, peoples??? LoL! That's me! I met a lot
more friends (I'll name them later). And from then till now, BOY HAS MY LIFE
CHANGED! I think more of my friends on the 'puter than my friends in real life!! I luv Whyville. and please don't quit on me until I'm 42!! LoL. Now this is what I do each day when I log into Whyville.
I log on the net and open so many things! LoL. I open up the Explorer to type out WWW.WHYVILLE.COM, and then open like three other chat windows to chat wit friends, Search songs and listen to music. Then I check my mail. I always have a msg from my awesum b/f TimberW saying I luv ya. That makes my day. Then I mostly spend the rest of my day in the pool making jokes and making my friends laugh. I can say I'm one of the clowns of the group. Now I'll name how many friends I have -- I'll try to remember all your Whyville names, forgive me if I forget!!
