Several days ago, we were collecting items (flashlights, jungle chows, grappling hooks, etc) that are appearing around Whyville, getting ready to welcome the coming of Nim's Island. We were all excited for it. What would Nim's Island look like? How will we use the items we've found? What would the clams storm be like? We all wanted to know the answers to those questions.

Now, it's finally here. Using the raft found in South Beach, we were able to transport ourselves to Nim's Island. Is it fascinating? Was it worth waiting for? Could it have been better? I've decided to interview a few Whyvillians I saw exploring the island. Read on to see what they thought of the new addition to our town.

linds113: If you have to describe Nim's Island in one word, what would it be?
sand33: Mazish, I guess :P
dramaq121: Adventure would be it because that's all it is! You NEVER know what's at the next stop.
rairai21: Hmmm, I would have to say interesting . . .
ly100: Progressive.

linds113: Did you find the animal? If yes, how long did it take you?
sand33: Um the first time, most of the obstacles were already passed by other people so I didn't have to do much. It took me about 10 minutes. The second time I must have took quite a few wrong turns, because it took me a lot longer.
dramaq121: It depends on how the maze is set up when I come there, because it changes a lot. Most of the time under 8 minutes, LoL.
rairai21: Yes I found the special animal! It actually didn't take very long because I was with some cool people and they were cool enough to get me there quick . . .
ly100: I did not find the animal. The crocodiles were basically my dead end because I didn't have any food to feed them.

linds113: Is Nim's Island like what you expected?
sand33: I guess I didn't really know what to expect . . . I thought that the clams storm would be more clams and only like 1 or 2 people would get one.
dramaq121: Not really! I was looking forward to just getting all the parts then it would give you clams, not the island.
rairai21: No it wasn't actually, I was expecting it to have like vines to swing on. I thought it was going to be more fun, and not have the 50 clams limit on the storm.
ly100: Nim's Island is not really what I expected. It is more of a labyrinth than I thought. I believed that the island would be like a maze, but that you could see all of the island at once. It turned out to be more complex.

linds113: If you could change one thing about Nim's Island, what would it be?
sand33: I think that you that you should only be able to "partner" up with one person. Instead of having one person use their tool and have people still be able to make it by 5 minutes later.
dramaq121: It would be that you wouldn't just have to bring 3 things in, you could bring as many as you want! I know that that would make it sort of weird but that's the only thing I could think of!
rairai21: I would change that there would be no limit on the clams storm because it gets so annoying that it just cuts you off at 50 clams.
ly100: I would make it less repetitive and more explanatory. Some parts of the maze in the island were vague. I came to several dead ends because I didn't know what to do next.

You can voice your opinions on Nim's Island in the BBS or Nim's Island discussion page. Also, be sure to check out the movie in theaters April 4th.

Until next time!
