Does It Add Up?

Hi people, this is bluetears signing on.

Everyone is complaining about Why-Passes!!! Well, let me tell you something, Why-Passes are a good thing. With the money they get from us, the more Whyville will grow!!

Whyville isn't made from money, you know!!

How is Whyville ever going to create more things, like beaches, a skate park, more chat rooms, etc. Whyville is giving us a great deal. Whyville is just trying to make some money. What would you do if you were the City Hall and you didn't know how to make money! Think! You would have done the same thing!

Come on you guys (and girls), Whyville needs more money. You'd be doing Whyville a big favor by not complaining. Besides, you don't have to buy one anyway! Please stop complaining about it!! I hope this article has changed your mind about Why-Passes.

This is BlueTears signing off.

OK... I think you made a big mistake with the "Why-Pass". I mean, I've been going on Whyville for about 2 years, practically since the whole thing started. if you don't know, I have about 10 names, such as my most used one: MonkeyGrl.

The thing I liked about Whyville was that it taught me about science *probably thanks to you, I have more than 100 percent in science*, and it made me meet a lot of new people who I still talk to today. Also, I want to become a designer when I grow up, and when I made clothes for Akbar's, it was like being a designer. But, my favorite thing about Whyville was that it was free. Not like other sites that make you pay to have fun.

But I guess that has changed. Now I will probably never go on Whyville again. I mean, I KNOW you can have more people on Whyville. Neopets has more than 1,000,000 users, from all over the world. They are doing very well, and they have a lot of people who pay them for advertisements, such as Cartoon Network. I think that you should put advertisements on Whyville so that it can be a fun, free website again.

Until then, I guess you won't be seeing me on Whyville anymore, since I can never get on.

Sincerely,
MonkeyGrl *plus other names*

Hey this is yywswim12. Well, you know the whole thing about Why-Passes?? Some kids like me aren't allowed to buy off the internet! That's a big problem with Whyville now! It's my favorite site on the internet!!! My point is, kids who don't have the money or aren't allowed to buy off the internet should be able to spend like 700 clamz on a Why-Pass for 2 weeks!! Wouldn't that sound fair? Plus, people like me that don't live in the United States have to pay even more to get a Why-Pass!! So I hope you understand what I'm saying! I can interview people or you can interview me to get different points of view!

Hey, everyone... mac here. This article is about the usual old not being able to get in. First off, I have an idea about the whole population thing. Since they started or should I say stopped letting people in all at once, I have only gotten into Whyville about 2/3 times unless it's during mid day or America's night time. And I don't usually go on Whyville when I'm in London or Australia, normally only when in California, because otherwise no one is on.

I think there should be some sort of waiting list. Like in the "waiting room"... do you really get in at some time? Or do you just sit there and sign in again at some time? With the waiting list, it would be like a checklist: everyone is able to enter up to 2 a day. And if you haven't tried signing or haven't been on for a long time you should get kinda like a secondary pass, bumped up the line. I know my idea may be expensive, Whyville, but let's try it, please!!! Get some donations or sponsors, too, someone who would pay like just a month's amount of bills.

mac siging off....

Hey Staff At The Whyville Times And Fellow Whyvillians,

For those of you who don't know me, I'm kc12, I've been on Whyville since year 2000 and I will still continue to go on. I know that many of you think Why-Passes are a waste of money, while many others think it's a great idea. Personally, I believe it's a great idea... I don't have one yet, but I'm planning to get one soon!!!

I think Why-Passes will make a lot of changes. I know some people when they heard about Why-Passes were just like " I'm not wasting my money to go on a website I can't even log into". But can't you see? If you get a Why-Pass, the money will all add up. Then we'll have more servers. And more servers means no more waiting long hours to get on Whyville. Not to mention the fact that if you've got a Pass, you won't need to wait in the first place.

I think that City Hall should see who hasn't been on Whyville in a long time... maybe 3 months or so, and delete their accounts. I know a person who made up 7 accounts on Whyville, and forgot the password for 6 of them; and the last 1 left over hasn't been in use for over 5 months. So I think that may help. Anyway, see ya all later.

Hey! Buzzboy here. You might know me for my petition, "Why-Passes aren't stupid". If not, well, read this.

WHY-PASSES ARE HERE FOR A REASON! If we were just allowed on Whyville, then the place would look like having the whole neighborhood in your bedroom. Whyville would slow down even worse. You wouldn't even see your face if there were no Why-Passes because too many people would be on.

And those petitions about not having Why-Passes and saying they're stupid -- are you people nuts? Think of what happened if the server crashed, computers would be having files being erased cause of viruses, computers flashing SERVER DOWN. Talk about *nobody* being able to get on Whyville! So, I say to any of you who put petitions about Why-Passes being stupid or anyone who signed those, you have no idea how hard it is to run Whyville while trying to pay the bills.

This is Buzzboy signing off... signed off.

Hi Whyvillians! How are you today? I hope you are good. I think that this Why-Pass thing is great. It is raising money for another server! That means fewer people will have the waiting signal because 2 servers = lots more people on Whyville! Yay! I'm right, aren't I?

Well anywayz, I think that the waiting room should be like a real waiting room, with seats and stuff. And then when it's your turn they call off your name, But only the person whose name was called can get into Whyville. Isn't that a cool idea? I think so! Well, I betta be going! Cuz when I'm writin' this, the population is now at 119,016 people. Isn't that a lot?! So, the "real waiting room" would be a cool new addition, don't yas think?! Well c yas l8ta!
