Tonight, as the stars twinkle,
and the sky is just as bright,
this is my only moment,
as a shooting star passes by

Tonight, I will wish upon this star,
Let it gleam and shine far,
Far enough to reach out overseas,
Dearest, look up and think of me

I think of you of at all times,
Without reason, no matter the time
My thought directed upon you tonight,
I wish I could come and hold you tight

Now, as the gleaming star,
Makes its path to other dreamers,
I'm standing alone,
With wings of love taking flight

I wish upon a gleaming star,
Please, put me just where you are,
The stars, twinkling just as beautiful

Now, finally, that I am here where you are,
My wish did shine far!
I will love you dearest, forevermore,
Let the stars twinkle, and the wings take flight.

Author's Note: This is one of my favorite poems, so I hope you liked it!
