You laugh at how he talks.
You giggle at his hair.
You chuckle at her walk.
And you laugh without a care.

You talk to all your friends about how he wears his hair.
You share with them things that you don't need to share.
You threaten to beat him,
You know he is weak.
You tell him you'll kill him,
His words are gone, he cannot speak.

Have you ever been the victim?
The one on the other side of the joke.
You know, the one who doesn't find it funny.
The one who you provoke.
Do you know what it feels like to walk in her shoes?
Do you know what it feels like to sing his blues?

They are their worst enemy.
We make them feel like that.
Our words are what put them down.
It's our words sending her to the ground.

We would be crazy to think that they don't care.
I know what it feels like,
I have been there.
Words are so powerful,
And no one understands.
Words are the thing that could wreck this land.

Have you ever been the guinea pig?
The person used for everything.
The one no body ever truly liked.
The one sincere person that would go through thick and thin just so you wouldn't hurt,
You know, that kind person that you treated like dirt.
Do you know what it feels like to walk in her shoes?
Do you know what it feels like to sing his blues?

If you could see what you do to them maybe you'd realize,
Your words, our words, affect their lives.
They feel like mistakes,
And we're the ones to blame.
They are the victims, in our silly little mind games.

Have you ever been the joke?
The girl everybody laughed at.
Or the boy no one wanted to sit beside.
You know, the person whose heart we broke.
Do you know what it feels like to walk in her shoes?
Do you know what it feels like to sing his blues?
