I'm quite sure you have all heard about a game called Guitar Hero . . .

If you have not, it is a video game that has a specially made guitar with colored keys on the top. You play songs and hit the notes that it tells you to, you earn money, you battle computerized people such as Slash, Lou, Tom Morello, you start a band, (IF you have two guitars) and more! It is seriously fun!

The prices range from about $70 to about $150. One of my friends is an expert at guitar hero and another, is getting better by the day. It is always fun to play with them, whether were having a sleepover, or just visiting one another, it is ALWAYS a blast!

In Guitar Hero you pick your character and then, you are ready to rock! In each level there are 42 songs for you to rock to, and there are four levels,

Easy (You'd want to start on easy, believe me! In easy, you have three notes: green, red, and yellow.)

Medium (In Medium, you will have a different note: BLUE! And, your guitar will move faster.)

Hard (In hard you will have all five notes: green, red, yellow, blue, and orange. Your guitar will also move faster.)

Expert (All I have to say about expert is that your guitar goes SUPER FAST!)

On the 22nd of June, Rock Band came out for Wii. (Rock Band is an extension to Guitar Hero) Rock Band includes drums, a microphone, and a guitar. In Rock Band, you can start a band with your friends, with the microphone you (obviously) sing and hit the right notes. With the guitar, well . . . with the guitar you do the exact same thing as you normally do, but it is more realistic because the buttons aren't on top of the guitar, so when you push down on them it feels more like your really playing.

And, last but not least, my favorite, THE DRUMS! YAY! Okay, well, there are four colors on the drums. (Not five) And you use your drumsticks and do what you do. (I think you know how to play drums . . . it is very similar to how you play the guitar on Guitar Hero, so if you don't know how to play, go up to the top of the article and READ!)

Here are some tips at scoring high on Guitar Hero:

1. When there are notes of the same color all lined up in a row, you don't have to keep pushing the color, you can hold down the color and just keep moving your "pick". (By pick I mean the black thing-a-ma-bobber, I have not the slightest clue what it's called.)

2. When you hit all the star notes and a note pops up that says "STAR POWER READY" tilt your guitar up, and your screen will turn blue for more points.

3. When you're hitting a long note, push your wowie stick down and it will change the sound of the note.

Well, I hope you have fun rocking!

-Your rocking gal, peeta

Author's Note: I have the Wii, so, there might be a difference if you have it on any other gaming console. Like, there may not be a wowie stick on the guitar. (By the way, a wowie stick is the only stick-like thing on your guitar.)
