It's the middle of summer, and you may be starting to get bored. You've watched all your favorite movies and shows, read all your favorite books. Well, I've got some new shows of different varieties that you may like.

"The Secret Life of an American Teenager"

This is the story of 15 year-old Amy. She plays the French horn in the marching band, she gets good grades, and has a new boyfriend. Sounds great, right? Wrong. What most of the people around her don't know is, she's also pregnant. Watch Amy's journey through having to tell her friends, her sister, her boyfriend, and eventually *gulp* her parents. This show has aired four episodes so far, and is on ABC Family on Tuesday nights at 8 PM.

Starring: Molly Ringwald, Shilene Woodley, and India Eisley.

This show is currently only showing in the US.

"How'd That Get on My Plate?"

Have you ever wondered how your food gets to the supermarket and to restaurants? This show will answer your questions. Join the host, Sunny Anderson, as she travels to factories and farms showing you exactly how your food is made. You can watch as she travels to a honey farm, a strawberry farm, an ice cream factory, and much, much more. This show is on Monday nights at 8:30 on FoodNetwork.

"Food Detectives"

This show will also answer your culinary questions, but not so much the same as "How'd That Get on My Plate". With Ted Allen as host, this show does experiments using science to answer questions such as "If swallowed, does gum really stay in your stomach for 7 years?" and "How dangerous is double-dipping?" This show looks fun and entertaining, but you'll also be learning. "Food Detectives" will premiere on July 29 at 9:00 PM and the first episode will investigate the 5-second rule.

"High School Musical: Get in the Picture"

Millions of people watched "High School Musical", now here's their chance to live the dream and be star in the next "High School Musical". The winner of this singing, dancing, and acting talent competition will have the chance to star in the music video shown at the end of "High School Musical 3: Senior Year". Not only that, but the winner will get a talent hold agreement with ABC and recording contract for 2 singles with Walt Disney Records. This is hosted by Nick Lachey and shows Sundays and Mondays at 8:00 PM on ABC. After 3 weeks, it will be only on Mondays at 8:00 PM.

"Jonas Brothers: Living The Dream"

Follow the Jonas Brothers, Kevin, Joe, and Nick as they show you what their life is all about. See behind the scene exclusives and much more. They'll give you a look into their daily life, and how they're sometimes just normal people, just like you. This show is on Disney Channel, Friday nights at 7:55 PM/ 6:55 C.

"Your Place Or Mine?"

This hit new show on TLC, hosted by Cameron Mathison and Diane Mizota, is a fun new game show where families win brand new rooms to spice up their houses. Two families compete head to head, answering trivia questions for the chance to win a new room for their house. But wait! Any room they win could be stolen by the other family. The family with the most points at the end of the game moves on to compete for a brand new car. Look for it on TLC.

These are all great new shows and if you think they sound good, you should check them out! They're sure to take away your boredom for an hour or so.
