I underline every person
But I speak in tiny italics
Words splitting the air
Talk is not my balance
I'm here, but don't know where

A whisper
Shameful, tangled knots
It's a great big mess
Up here in my thoughts
But you made it feel a lot less

Life's weakest convictions
Can kill us all so easily
We come to hate restrictions
But coming to love our cells
Will make us forget to scream

If you weren't gone
None of this would have happened
If you weren't gone
Well, obviously this wouldn't have ended
You're just a lost name

Someday I'll be in bold
and you won't even know
When your life begins to fold
You'll remember that I told you so
Anyway, strings couldn't keep us connected

My past is not
It never was
Photos speak a thousand words
But to me they are just colorful fuzz
Aging in unopened boxes.
