Let the rain fall
Let my reign fall
Let the serpents slither
Let the beetles crawl

O, foolish Egypt
Sweet like my Queen
But you were both in thrall
To my abusive power
And the bewitched cobra's song
"Let the rain fall"
"Let my reign fall"
"Let the serpents slither"
"Let the beetles crawl"

O, raging Egypt
I've tautened your reins for too long
And Ra has warned me
Of the scriptures on your wall
But I've let the rain fall
Let my reign fall
Let the serpents slither
Let the beetles crawl

O, wretched Egypt
Your slaves are standing tall
The pyramids, my amphora
I can hear them call
So I've let the rain fall
Let my reign fall
Let the serpents slither
and I've let the beetles crawl
